Flow Equity invests in and exclusively operates ventures that have clear growth potential to generate substantial returns. We believe these ventures should capture large-scale market demand, produce model jobs, and protect the environment.
Flow Equity is not a hedge fund or private equity firm. We are an entrepreneurial group. We build businesses and take on new opportunities when synergies exist within the rest of our portfolio. We raise funds for specific projects following our due diligence and development of a business plan. We proceed to manage every aspect of the business on the ground, and train local managers to transition management over a period of a few years.
Flow Equity completed fundraising for its first company in 2010 and expects it to be Ethiopia's poultry market leader by the end of 2012. We are currently seeking investment for expansion.
Within East Africa, we are focusing our operations in Ethiopia based on strong macro indicators, a growing network, and our history of success. Over the next five years, we plan to expand our portfolio and deepen our impact across East Africa.
